In Fifth Edition, the Swynwyr' (sing. swynwr), commonly called the Columbae (meaning pigeons) by the Order at large, are a House Ex Miscellanea tradition hailing from Wales. They are masters of warding.[citation needed] Within canon, they are one of the eight larger traditions of the house.[citation needed]
The Swynwyr, although largely ignored today, played important roles in the history of the order and the house.Template:Citation Needed Cad Gadu, the domus magna of House Ex Miscellanea, was a camp set up by the Swymyr to be used by Pralix as a base camp during the war against Damhan-Allaidh.[citation needed] It ended up being the site of the last battle in that war.
In Fifth Edition, the legendary Robes of the Dusty Dawn are a Swynwyr artifact from before the coming of the Order.[citation needed]
