In Fifth Edition, the Swymyr' (sing. swynwr), commonly called the Columbae (meaning pigeons) by the Order at large, are masters of warding, and House Ex Miscellanea tradition hailing from Wales. Within canon, it is one of the eight larger traditions of the house, and thus is more detailed in Houses of Hermes: Societates.
The Swymyr, although largely ignored today, played important roles in the history of the order and the house. Cad Gadu, the domus magna of House Ex Miscellanea, was a camp set up by the Swymyr to be used by Pralix as a base camp during the war against Damhan-Allaidh. It ended up being the site of the last battle in that war.
In Fifth Edition, the legendary Robes of the Dusty Dawn are a Swymyr artifact from before the coming of the Order.
