Ability Block is a Minor General Flaw from the Fifth Edition core book[1]. This Flaw prevents the character from ever learning a certain class of Abilities, as specified in the text.
A character may only take the Ability Block Flaw once, and must apply it to Abilities the character is eligible to learn. For example, a magus can take an Ability Block with Martial Abilities because magi can normally learn Martial Abilities[2], but a grog could not take an Ability Block with Academic Abilities unless that grog were somehow eligible to learn Academic Abilities (such as through another Virtue such as Educated).
