In ArM4, Scholae Pythagoranis is a a Jerbiton covenant of scholarly and philosophical magi, located in the Stonehenge Tribunal. Their home is within the town of Cambridge, and they are headed by Edward of Milton a scholar. Cambridge has existed as a town since the reign of Henry I, sometime between 1120 and 1131. The university is more recent, having been founded in 1209 when Oxford students or scholars fled from a dispute with the townspeople of Oxford. It won't be until 1231 that King Henry III awards the university exemption from taxes and the right to discipline its own members. In 1233, Pope Gregory IX will issue a bull authorize its graduates the right to teach "everywhere in Christendom."
