Salve, sodale is a Latin phrase meaning "Greetings, fellow member." It is a standard greeting used between magi of the Order of Hermes.[1]

The plural form, used to greet several magi at once, is salvete, sodalete[1] -- according to very early Ars Magica supplements, which contained some Latin mistakes (such as incorrect declension of Corpus as "Còrporem"[2]).

Members of fan community sometimes use the phrase as a salutation -- often Anglicizing the plural form to "salve, sodales" -- at the opening of email messages and forum posts.
