Rumors

From time to time, there are credible rumors about what might be expected further in the future. Since these plans haven't been officially confirmed, they might not materialize at all, or the final form might be different what what we presume here.

On May 14, 2015 Atlas Games announced the end of the Ars Magica Fifth Edition line. This implies that books that were rumoured or presumed to be next "in the line", such as a new tribunal book for Rome, will not materialize. While Atlas Games said that they "are likely to do a sixth edition at some point in the future", there are no indications that it is in design at the moment so it may very well be that Dics Irae will be not just the end of Mythic Europe, but also the end of Ars Magica - at least for a while.

Frequently-Asked Questions

Can one of the authors or playtesters leak details of (upcoming supplement)?
A:In a word, no. Authors and playtesters enter a legally binding non-disclosure agreement with Atlas Games. If one of them were to leak details about a product before it was published, he or she would be hung, drawn, and quartered.

This question seems to come up occasionally on the Mailing Lists and official forum. It's true that several Ars Magica authors are regular posters to both fora, but that doesn't mean they will let anything slip. Sorry.
