Token

Tokens (Greek psephos) are a system of merits used as 'currency' in place of vis in the Theban Tribunal. Tokens are awarded to polites by the Tribunal in recognition of certain achievements beneficial to the Hermetic polity, and for conducting dutifully service as an archai or polemarch. Among other things tokens can be granted for training an apprentice, instituting a legal case by covening the Judicial Board that results in a guilty verdict, and assisting the Polemarch in their duties. Tokens are physical objects, and may be used to offset shards or may be traded among magi. The Redcaps maintain records of all such transfers.
