Ave! I am Jason Tondro and I teach English at the University of California Riverside (where I earned my PhD) as well as at community colleges in the Inland Empire. Most of the time I teach composition, but sometimes I get lucky and get to teach courses more interesting and fun. Last year I taught three courses on comics and graphic novel literature at UCR, including "Comics and Graphic Novels in America and Britain", "The Superhero Narrative" and "Comics go to War." Last fall I also taught a course on Arthurian Literature, primarily Middle English lit, Latin chronicles, and Welsh lit in translation.

I am the author of Superheroes of the Round Table: Comics Connections to Medieval and Renaissance Literature, published in October of 2011 by McFarland. This is an academic book but was fun to write and, I hope, fun to read. It is adapted from my dissertation, primarily with the addition of a new chapter on Shakespeare and comics.

I am also the author of various RPG materials, written over the years. These include the Field Guide to Superheroes and Arthur Lives! projects for Vigilance Press and some books for 2nd edition Mutants & Masterminds published under my own TPK label: Escape from Alcatraz! and Organized Crime.

As far as Ars goes, I have run a few different Sagas over the years but none have gotten especially far. I have played in a Saga based in the Stonehenge Tribunal which met throughout 2011. Lately I have started a new Saga which my players decided to set in the Theban Tribunal.
