The ambiguous term Mercere refers to one of the following unambiguous entities:

• Mercere the Founder
• House Mercere
• A single redcap or magus in his role as a member of House Mercere, though the former are usally referred to as redcaps. Houses of Hermes: True Lineages distinguishes the two for the purpose of reading by referring to magi members of the house as Magical Mercere.
