One of the fifteen Hermetic Arts, Ignem (abbr. Ig) is a Form that deals with elemental fire, light, and heat. The medieval paradigm understands that cold is an absence or loss of heat, and thus "creating" cold involves a Perdo effect.

Notable traditions and magi

Flambeau the Founder is likely the most well known master of Ignem. Within his House Flambeau, one of the major schools of magical combat is the School of the Founder. Members of the Cult of Mithras may be notable practitioners of the form.
