A Quality Die is a Stress Die that does not have a possibility of Botching. A 0 on the die is simply a 0, while a 1 is rerolled, with a doubling of the new value rolled.
Although the name "Quality Die" is not used in Fifth Edition, the rules do describe stress dice that cannot botch.
The name "Quality Die" is a holdover from Fourth Edition.
