Fenicil was the first primus of House Guernicus, assuming office in 832.[1] He is known for providing evidence that the Order of Hermes is the latest manifestation of an ancient society of magi<ref name="Fenicil">. (The Cult of Mercury was the previous manifestation of this mystical, perpetual organization.)

Fenicil assembled an extensive collection of pre-Hermetic magic, including what are believed to be Egyptian rituals, that are now known as Fenicil's Rituals.
