The Philosophers of Rome is a highly secretive Mystery Cult, descended from Simon Magus. Founded on gnostic principles, they seek apotheosis through hedonism and their "godly" status in the eyes of their disciples and hangers-on.

Note: The Philosopher's initiation scripts on p.124 have been officially errata'd: replace True Naming with Hermetic Empowerment, and Hermetic Evocation with Spell Binding.
