As a low-level simple damaging spell, this is arguably one of the standard combat spells of the Order, especially for magi not otherwise focusing on combat. It is especially useful as it allows throwing any object, and always hits. Magi concerned with fighting supernatural opponents, however, may want to invest in a high Finesse and make use of the Invisible Sling of Vilano (see Houses of Hermes: Societates, page 38) instead, as a way to circumvent Magic Resistance. Alternatively, since this is a low-level spell, magi could also stick with this spell and work on improving their Casting Score and/or Penetration to go through Magic Resistance rather than around it. Both approaches are viable.
