In days long since past, magician's communed with the gods themselves. The various Cults of Egypt worked alongside one another in a manner not unlike the House's of the Order.
The most powerful members of these cults could not not only invoke their gods but channel thier very being through the devotee's form. These 'House's of the Gods' or Pharaoh competed for control of the kingdoms that made up their homeland, often killing one another. This made them easy prey for the Cult of Mercury, though small numbers often survived and the Cult of Isis even prospered under Roman rule.
The order only encountered these survivors again while sidetracked on a recent expedition to the pyramids, the hedge magi's claims of sending a gift from Isis to a 'Pelagius of Ordo Hermes' not withstanding.
Regardless, a small number of their most promising apprentices are now being trained in the Hermetic method and the Cults are explaining some of their ways to the exhibition in return. They are keeping the sacred initiations to their own though.
