A charged item[1] is a type of enchanted item that a magus can create in the laboratory. Charged items have the drawback of having only a limited amount of uses, but in return they are easy and cheap to create.

Properties of a Charged Item

A charged item has several properties:

  • A charged item does not cost vis to create.
  • Creation of a charged item takes only a single season.
  • The item does not need to be opened for enchantment.
  • A charged item can be of any size or material, regardless of the magical effect placed in the item.
  • A charged item has only a limited number of uses.
  • The total amount of uses created can be split among several identical items.
