An Orbus (literally "orphan") is a magus banished from his House. In theory, such magi must become members of another House within a year or their life would be forfeit. In practice, House Ex Miscellanea is virtually certain to accept them, although some turn to other Houses. Magi Orbi form a distinct group with House Ex Miscellanea, composed of such magi and their descendants. By the information provided in HoHS 107, the descendants of orbi will not share the ancestral House's secrets, including its outer Mysteries.
