The ''Ostrakimos'' or ostracism is a vote conducted during meetings of the [[Theban Tribunal]]. The [[polites]] with one or more [[shards]] (not offset by [[tokens]]) is listed, and the [[polites]] vote on which if any should be ostracised in a secret ballot. (Those who have only been granted citizenship this Tribunal are exempt). The maga or magus with the most votes is exiled from the [[Theban Tribunal]] for seven years and stripped of their citizenship. [[The Sundered Eagle]] 34 describes the process in detail.
