Craft is a General Ability. It always corresponds to a specific kind of work, such as carpentry, stone masonry, or tailoring. Each craft must be learned separately.

Rules for Crafting

Characters who work at crafting items for an entire season gain experience through exposure[1]

Rules for crafting items, including how much a craftsman can make in a season and the quality of the finished goods, are in City and Guild.[2] Having craftsmen permanently employed by the covenant can help offset some of its upkeep costs.[3]

Verditius magi use the Craft Ability in conjunction with the Outer Mystery of Verditius Magic[4] to increase their Lab Totals when making enchanted items.

Characters with the right Supernatural Virtues can craft minor enchanted items called wondrous items.[5]

Magi can use Rego magic to do the work of a mundane craftsmen. This is called Craft Magic.[6]

Types of Crafts

The description of the Craft Ability lists a number of crafts, which are only a few examples of the "countless" possible crafts in Mythic Europe.[7]

A list of crafts that can help offset the maintenance costs of a covenant may be found in Covenants.[8]
